Mansions of Madness is a cooperative board game of investigation and horror inspired by the writings of H.P. During each game, one to five players explore a location to unravel a mystery. This companion app guides you through the haunted halls and misty alleyways of Arkham in stories of varied length and difficulty. Mansions of Madness is a board game created by Fantasy Flight Games. Horrific monsters and spectral presences lurk in manors, crypts, schools, monasteries, and derelict buildings near Arkham, Massachusetts. I'm not yet sure about how to paint the monsters because they aren't properly attached to a base. I could glue them on, or swap the bases for transparent discs, but I suspect the bases would easily break off in storage and I'm not keen to pay out for fancy foam storage inserts if I can help it.
So I started with the investigators. As usual I enjoyed the challenge of trying to match the painted piece to the card art:

For the bases I originally just did a plain mahogany coloured base, but I was then inspired by My painted minis (picture heavy) so decided to be a bit bolder despite the challenge of getting a textured appearance on a smooth surface:
